According to Hinduism, Gandharvas are mythical male natural spirits that are skilled singers in Indian classical music. They guarded the Soma, a ritual drink, and made beautiful music for the gods in their palaces. Gandharvas act as messengers between the gods and humans. When associated with devas and yakshas, they are formidable warriors as well.
